The Tiguan Allspace is the Tiguan that stayed back after school and squeezed in a third row—handy, though the back seats are really for kids or very patient adults. On the road it’s composed and quiet, with the 132TSI feeling fine for families and the 162TSI adding proper shove, albeit with a thirst if you hoof it. The DSG can fidget at low speeds, but once rolling it’s slick, and the cabin quality is peak Volkswagen: sturdy, techy, and pleasantly understated. Ride comfort is good on sensible wheels; go big and it gets a bit firm over Aussie backroads. Running costs aren’t the cheapest and option pricing can snowball, but practicality with rows folded is excellent for holidays and flat-pack heroics. In short: a polished, roomy 5+2 that’s great for growing families who only occasionally need seven seats.
