touareg vs q7 Page 3

Touareg vs Q7 is basically German siblings arguing over who gets the third row. Both deliver polished road manners, strong V6 power and up to 3.5‑tonne towing in Australia, but their priorities diverge.

• Volkswagen Touareg — Pros: generous five‑seat space, excellent ride on air suspension, sharp value; Cons: no seven‑seat option in Australia, option packs and tyres can be pricey.

• Audi Q7 — Pros: standard seven seats on most trims, plusher cabin and slick tech; Cons: higher purchase price, third row best for kids and trims boot space.

Your choice hinges on seat count and budget—either plush seven‑seater polish or a roomy five‑seater with keener value.
