towing mirrors law victoria Page 8

In Victoria, towing mirrors are more than just a fashion statement; they're a legal necessity if your trailer or caravan obscures your rear vision. The law mandates that you must have mirrors that provide a clear view of the road behind, either by using extended towing mirrors or additional side mirrors. Failure to comply could land you a fine and some very disgruntled looks from traffic cops.

These mirrors must be securely fitted, not interfere with vehicle operation, and provide an adequate field of vision. Typically, aftermarket towing mirrors attach either via clips or magnets, but be wary of cheap knock-offs that might flop off on the highway.
