toyota corolla 2023 review Page 5

The 2023 Toyota Corolla is the automotive equivalent of avocado on toast: sensible, popular, and quietly excellent. The 2.0-litre petrol with CVT is smooth enough for the daily grind, while the hybrid sips fuel like it’s paying for it itself. Ride and refinement punch above the price, and safety tech is generously stuffed in—AEB, lane keeping, the usual alphabet soup. The cabin’s user-friendly and packs modern smartphone smarts, though the back seat and hatch boot are still on the snug side. Push it and the CVT drones if you’re impatient, but for commuting it’s calmer than a Sunday arvo. If you want fuss-free reliability and stellar resale in Australia, this is the box-ticker with a halo.
