toyota corolla major service intervals Page 5

The Toyota Corolla’s major service intervals in Australia are, broadly, every 12 months or 15,000 km for late‑model cars, with many pre‑2014 examples on 6 months or 10,000 km. “Major” milestones typically land at 60,000 km and again around 120,000 km, when more than just oil and filters get attention.

• Brake fluid is commonly replaced every 2 years, regardless of kilometres.
• Spark plugs on most modern petrol Corollas are long‑life iridium and usually due around 120,000 km.
• Coolant is generally long‑life (often first change at about 160,000 km or 10 years), and CVT fluid is inspected around the 90–100,000 km mark.

Air and cabin filters rotate through shorter cycles (roughly 15–30,000 km), and dealers love a good “inspect/adjust” list at 60,000 km. Always follow the exact logbook for your model/engine, but if you keep to the above rhythm your Corolla will stay chirpier than a kookaburra at dawn.
