toyota paint protection package reviews Page 2

Dealership "Toyota paint protection packages" are essentially ceramic coatings or sealants bundled with enthusiastic sales patter and a warranty brochure.

In Australia they usually run about $800–$2,000 (sometimes more), and reviews are mixed: owners like the easier washing and water beading, but not the price or the tall tales about scratch immunity.

Pros: handy hydrophobic effect for a year or two, some UV resistance, and a tidy delivery-day shine; cons: still needs proper washing, won’t stop stone chips, and longevity depends entirely on prep and maintenance.

Plenty of reviewers say an independent detailer’s pro-grade ceramic—or a sensible DIY kit—delivers similar results for less, while fine print in dealer warranties often excludes the exact nasties you’re hoping to avoid.

If you want it, haggle it into the drive-away deal; if not, spend a fraction with a reputable detailer and keep a decent wash routine—your Toyota will look just as smug.
