toyota rav4 2023 review australia

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 in Australia is the sensible sneaker of SUVs—quietly capable, shockingly efficient, and annoyingly hard to fault.

The Hybrid is the headline act, sipping around 4.7–4.8 L/100km on the official combined cycle, with smooth electric shove and no plug-in faff.

Inside, it’s roomy with a big boot, and the 2023 update brings crisper infotainment and modern driver aids; safety remains rock-solid with a 5-star ANCAP (2019) rating.

It’s not thrilling—steering is sensible shoes, and the suspension prefers family errands to fangin’—but refinement and resale are top-shelf in this class.

If you want an easy, efficient daily with FWD or AWD options and the long-game reliability card, this one’s hard to go past.
