transfer personalised plates qld Page 12

Transferring personalised plates in Queensland is a bureaucratic dance involving the Department of Transport and Main Roads. You'll need to fill out a transfer application, pay the requisite fees—usually around $70 to $100—and ensure both parties have proper ID. The plates can be transferred between vehicles registered in Queensland or even to another person, but the recipient must register the plates on their vehicle within a set timeframe. Expect to provide proof of ownership and vehicle details.

For the nitty-gritty and up-to-date fees, the official Queensland government website or ServiceCentral are your best mates. Keep your paperwork tight, or you might find yourself stuck in the slow lane of red tape.
