tyre roadworthy requirements qld Page 6

Ah, the humble tyre—QLD's gatekeeper for roadworthiness. In Queensland, your tyres must have a minimum tread depth of 1.5mm across the entire tread width to pass a roadworthy inspection. This ensures enough grip to fend off kangaroos and rainy roads alike. Additionally, tyres must be free from cuts, bulges, or any structural damage that would compromise safety. Mismatched tyres on the same axle are a no-no, so keep them consistent. If you’re hunting for replacements, check out Tradingpost or CarShowroom for a decent range of new and used options. Remember, these rules are as non-negotiable as a speeding fine—so tread carefully!
