uses for old tyres Page 112

Old tyres aren't just landfill fodder; they have a surprising array of second lives. Garden planters are a popular choice—just fill them with soil and flowers for a quirky, durable pot. They also make excellent playground swings or obstacle course elements for the kids, proving that recycling can be fun. If you're feeling crafty, chopped tyres can become rubber mats or flooring for workshops, thanks to their resilience. For the environmentally conscious, some use them in retaining walls or erosion control projects. So, before you pitch those old tyres, think about giving them a second, less polluting life.
