ute tray camper

Ah, the ute tray camper—because why settle for a regular tent when you can bed down on a ute's tray like a king of the outback? These clever setups transform your utility vehicle into a mobile mini-cabin, perfect for weekend warriors and dodgy weather alike.

Key features often include:

• Quick setup and pack-down
• Compact, fitting snugly on the tray
• Lightweight but sturdy construction
• Basic amenities like a mattress, maybe a stove

Prices vary wildly, from a modest few thousand AUD for DIY or used options on Tradingpost, to $10,000+ for fully kitted factory models. Perfect for those who want a no-fuss, no-campground fee experience, but be prepared for limited space and creature comforts compared to a caravan.
