v8 supercar female driver

Yes—women have raced in the Supercars Championship (formerly V8 Supercars), even if the grid hasn’t exactly been bursting with them.

Simona de Silvestro contested full seasons from 2017–2019, and she teamed with Renee Gracie as the “Supergirls” for Bathurst 1000 campaigns.

Leanne Tander has also appeared in the Development Series and as an enduro co‑driver, with others making Super2/Super3 and wildcard starts over the years.

The talent is there; the opportunities are the sticking point—motorsport turns slower than a double‑stacked road train when it comes to change.
