value a car Page 2

Looking to value a car in Australia? Your best bet is to check current market prices on sites like Tradingpost or CarShowroom to see what similar models are going for. New cars usually depreciate rapidly, so expect used car prices to be significantly lower depending on age, condition, and mileage. For a rough guide: a 3-year-old car might hold about 50-60% of its new value, but this varies wildly.

Don't forget to factor in service history, accident records, and any aftermarket mods which can either add or subtract value. For a more precise figure, consider professional appraisal services or tools like RedBook values. Remember, in the wild world of car trading, the “value” is ultimately what someone is willing to pay.
