vehicle registration cost victoria Page 9

Ah, the joyous occasion of forking out for vehicle registration in Victoria. Expect to pay around $300 to $800 AUD per year depending on your vehicle type and weight. Standard cars usually sit near the lower end, while heavier vehicles and those with personalised plates will empty your wallet faster. Renewal fees cover compulsory third party insurance, so it's not all bad. Used vehicles might come with pro-rata fees if you buy mid-year, so check the fine print on CarShowroom or Tradingpost.
