vehicle safety certificate qld Page 4

Ah, the elusive Vehicle Safety Certificate (VSC) in Queensland—your golden ticket to proving your ride isn't a death trap on wheels. It's basically a mechanical inspection that confirms your vehicle meets safety standards before a sale or transfer. The certificate covers major bits like brakes, tyres, lights, steering, and suspension.

In QLD, you need this certificate to register a vehicle or transfer ownership. It costs around $40 to $60, and you can get it from licensed inspectors or approved mechanics. Remember, it’s only valid for 1 month or 1,000 km, whichever comes first, so don’t dawdle.

For the official nitty-gritty, check Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads, or browse Tradingpost and CarShowroom if you’re shopping for vehicles.
