versa 3 review Page 50

The Nissan Versa 3, if you mean the latest generation, is the budget-friendly sedan aiming to please the sensible commuter rather than the thrill-seeker. Under the bonnet, it typically sports a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine delivering around 81 kW and 150 Nm, paired with a CVT for those who like their driving smooth but uninspiring. Inside, the cabin is functional but hardly luxurious, with basic tech including a touchscreen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support.

On the plus side, the Versa 3 offers excellent fuel economy and a surprisingly roomy interior for the price, making it a strong contender for city dwellers or first-time buyers. Downsides include somewhat bland handling and a dash of cheap plastics that remind you this isn’t a premium ride. New models in Australia hover around the $20,000 to $25,000 AUD mark, while used ones can be found cheaper on CarShowroom or Tradingpost.

In summary, it’s not a car to excite your inner petrolhead, but it’s a practical, wallet-friendly choice with no nasty surprises. For detailed specs, always check the official Nissan documentation.
