victoria car registration cost Page 6

Ah, the joyous annual ritual of handing over your hard-earned dosh to register your car in Victoria. The cost varies depending on your vehicle's engine size and weight, but expect to shell out around $700 to $900 AUD for a standard passenger vehicle. This includes compulsory third-party insurance, which is the law's way of making sure you don’t drive off into the sunset uninsured.

Keep in mind, the fees can fluctuate with additional charges for personalised plates or late renewals. For used cars, the price might be slightly less if the vehicle is lighter or smaller.
