The short version: Victoria’s $3,000 Zero Emissions Vehicle purchase subsidy has ended, so there’s no current state cash rebate on EVs.
The slightly longer version: you can still benefit from federal incentives (notably the FBT exemption on eligible novated-lease EVs under the luxury-car threshold), which often trumps any state handout anyway.
On the upside, the state road-user charge was struck down, so you’re not paying that either; on the downside, you still face normal on-roads and whatever the dealer thinks “market conditions” means.
Keep an eye on utility and council programs for home-charger rebates or tariff discounts, and check Tradingpost if you’d rather let someone else take the first-owner depreciation hit.
