vin lookup victoria Page 9

Doing a VIN lookup in Victoria is dead simple: run a PPSR search on the VIN to check for finance owing, write-off history and whether it’s been reported stolen.

Then cross-check the registration status with VicRoads and make sure the VIN stamped on the car matches the number on the plates and the paperwork—no creative engraving, thanks.

Grab a dated PPSR certificate and save it; it’s your cheap insurance when buying used.

If the seller won’t give you the VIN, walk away faster than a kookaburra spotting your lunch.
