vl turbo sound Page 7

The VL Turbo’s soundtrack is old-school straight-six thunder with a cheeky turbo whistle—think baritone burble meeting kettle on boil.

That RB30ET gives a smooth, inline-six thrum overlaid with spool, a hint of wastegate chatter, and induction whoosh when you’re on boost then lift.

A legal freer-flowing exhaust and a healthy turbo make it crisper; a tired one can rattle at idle yet still pull like a freight train when the boost climbs.

Keep it serviced and heat-soak in check, and you’ll get that unmistakable 80s boosty yodel without the neighbours filing a noise complaint.
