volkswagen polo reviews Page 4

The Volkswagen Polo is the small hatch that behaves like it’s wearing a tailored suit—calm ride, tidy handling, and a cabin that feels a class up. The 1.0‑litre turbo triple is punchy for its size, sips fuel in the low fives L/100 km, and won’t throw a tantrum on a freeway run. Tech and safety are generous, with proper driver aids rather than gimmicks, and the boot is big enough for a week’s shop plus the odd Bunnings impulse buy. Downsides? The DSG can be a bit fidgety at low speeds and servicing isn’t Corolla-cheap, but ownership packages help take the sting out. Overall, it’s a polished, grown-up city car that doesn’t need to shout to be heard.
