vs commodore year Page 63

The Holden Commodore VS was built from 1995 to 1997 for sedans and wagons in Australia. When the VT arrived in late 1997, the family models moved on, but the VS refused to leave the party.

The VS Utility lived on as Series III until 2000, so a late-’98 or ’99 VS ute is perfectly normal. If your compliance plate reads within those years, you’re looking at the right generation, not a Franken-Commodore. In short: VS sedan/wagon 1995–1997; VS ute 1995–2000 (Series III).
