VW’s modern infotainment can be brilliant on paper and occasionally allergic to functioning in public.

Common gremlins include:

• Slow boot-up, laggy menus, or random freezes, especially on cold starts.
• Spontaneous reboots or black screens that forget your presets.
• CarPlay/Android Auto dropouts and moody Bluetooth pairings.
• Touch sliders/haptic buttons that are hard to hit and easy to curse.
• Reverse camera or sensor delays when you select R.

Dealer software updates and a hard reset (hold the power button ~10–15 seconds) usually help; stubborn cases under warranty deserve proper fixes.
