vw service schedule australia Page 44

In Australia, most modern VW models follow a 12‑month or 15,000 km service interval, whichever arrives first—no, not whichever is cheaper.

Expect regular checks plus oil and filter changes each visit, with brake fluid every 2 years, a cabin filter about annually, and an engine air filter around 60,000 km depending on conditions.

TSI petrols commonly need spark plugs about every 60,000 km, while diesels focus on fuel and air filters more often.

Got a DSG? Wet‑clutch units typically need a fluid and filter service every 60,000 km; dry‑clutch units generally don’t, but smooth driving and software updates are your friends.

AWD/Haldex systems benefit from fluid changes roughly every 3–4 years, and timing belts (where fitted) have model‑specific intervals—think in the 5–7 year/100,000–210,000 km ballpark.

Always check your owner’s manual or VW Australia’s schedule for your exact model and engine, because blanket rules fit like a one‑size‑fits‑all beanie—badly.
