The 2023 VW Touareg’s cabin does that German hotel lobby thing: calm, plush, and slightly smug.

The headline act is the 12.3-inch Digital Cockpit paired with the 15-inch “Innovision” touchscreen, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus a raft of customisable settings.

Higher trims bring Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats with massage, and four-zone climate control, while the rear bench slides to juggle people and cargo.

Road noise is hushed, materials feel solid, and the boot is enormous at around ~810 L seats up—part lounge room, part removalist.
