vw touareg 2023 review Page 2

The 2023 Volkswagen Touareg is the quiet achiever: luxury SUV polish without the badge peacocking. The V6 turbo‑diesel wafts along with effortless torque, and with AWD plus optional air suspension it irons out country roads like a nana with a new iron. Inside, it’s properly premium—big-screen tech, quality materials, and driver assists that feel helpful rather than naggy. Space is generous (five seats, big boot), and the braked tow rating of 3,500 kg means your caravan won’t feel like a ball and chain. It’s not a canyon-carver, but it’s stable, secure and supremely relaxed at 110 km/h—very Germanic, very unflustered. Running costs are sensible for the class, and ownership feels more low-drama than some flashier rivals. If you want luxury feel without the badge tax, this is a very solid way to spend your kilometres.
