Western Australia’s headline act was a $3,500 rebate for new battery-electric (and fuel-cell) vehicles with a dutiable value under $70,000.
It applied to eligible purchases from 10 May 2022 and wrapped up on 10 May 2025—so if you’ve just missed it, you’re not imagining things.
PHEVs were excluded, applications were lodged post-registration with proof of purchase, and it was strictly one rebate per vehicle.
If another round appears, expect similar price caps and BEV focus, but check the WA Department of Transport for current rules—governments pivot faster than a roundabout on a rainy Monday.
