Doing a WA rego plate check is wonderfully unglamorous but very useful.
Head to the WA Department of Transport’s registration check, punch in the plate or VIN, and you’ll see registration status, expiry date, and basic vehicle details.
It won’t tell you if there’s finance owing or past write-off history—use a PPSR check for that before buying.
If the status isn’t current, treat the car like a dodgy sausage roll: proceed with caution and budget for inspections and fees.
Grab a screenshot of the result so there’s no “he said, she said” later.
