wa rego transfer Page 7

Transferring WA rego (vehicle licence) is about as exciting as a beige Camry, but it’s straightforward. The seller lodges a Notification of Disposal, and you—within 14 days—submit the transfer on DoTDirect and pay the vehicle licence duty plus a transfer fee. You’ll need proof of identity and the vehicle details; if it’s come from interstate or unlicensed, an inspection may be required before WA plates are happy. Miss the 14‑day window and late fees can join the party, uninvited as usual. Keep copies/receipts, because bureaucracy loves paper trails almost as much as utes love red dirt.
