The Westie, or West Highland White Terrier, is a small but feisty dog breed known for its distinctive white coat and cheeky personality. Height: about 25-28 cm; Weight: 6-8 kg; Lifespan: 12-16 years. These terriers are clever, energetic, and surprisingly stubborn—ideal for owners who enjoy a bit of character with their canine companion. Common issues include skin allergies, hip dysplasia, and patellar luxation. If you’re hunting for one, PuppyList and local breeders are your best bets, but prepare for a bit of a premium due to their popularity. Always consult official breed standards and veterinary advice before diving in.
