In Queensland you can get your learner licence at 16, then complete a logbook of 100 hours (including 10 at night) and hold it at least 12 months.
Pass the practical test and you can step up to a P1 (red P) from 17, then move to P2 (green P) after 12 months on P1.
Stick to the rules and you’ll typically reach an open licence at about 20 (after roughly three years on P‑plates in total).
