what countries drive on the right

Ah, the great left-vs-right driving debate! The majority of the world drives on the right side of the road, including giants like the United States, Canada, China, and most of Europe. This means your steering wheel is typically on the left side of the car. Australia, of course, sticks to the left, just to keep things spicy.

Driving on the right is common in about 165 countries, while only around 75 countries, including the UK, Japan, and Australia, go left. It’s a historic relic with roots in old horse-riding customs and colonial influence. So if you’re planning a road trip abroad, make sure to check which side of the road you'll be flirting with!
