Ah, the diff lock—your vehicle’s secret weapon for not becoming a glorified paperweight in mud or sand. Essentially, it locks the differential, forcing both wheels on an axle to spin at the same speed instead of allowing the one with less grip to spin freely. This means if one wheel is flailing in the mud, the other will still get power and keep you moving.

Key benefit: improved traction in slippery or uneven terrain.

Just remember, it’s a beast best used off-road or in very low-traction situations; on normal tarmac, it’ll turn your car into a crab and wreck your tyres.
