what is alpina Page 5

Alpina is a boutique German automaker that hand-finishes BMWs into discreetly bonkers luxury missiles. Think big torque, silky ZF autos, lush interiors, and styling that whispers rather than shouts—more velvet glove than sledgehammer. Unlike typical tuners, Alpina builds receive their own VINs and factory-level integration, so it’s all very proper, tea and biscuits included. They’re not BMW M rivals so much as grand-touring specialists: fast, refined, and capable of crossing continents without raising a sweat. In short, Alpina turns already good BMWs into deeply grown-up, very fast, very subtle ones.
