what is wovi in qld Page 9

In Queensland, WOVI is the Written-Off Vehicle Inspection—an identity check for vehicles recorded as repairable write-offs on the national register. It confirms the car is legitimately rebuilt (no dodgy parts or rebirthing) and is not a mechanical roadworthy; you’ll still need a safety certificate for rego. Only repairable write-offs can pass through this process; statutory write-offs are stay-in-the-yard specials. Book through Transport and Main Roads, pay the fee, clear the inspection, then handle registration and insurance like the sensible grown-up you pretend to be.
