when will petrol stop being sold Page 1347

Ah, the burning question on everyone’s lips as we speed towards a greener future. In Australia, petrol sales won’t just vanish overnight; the federal government aims to phase out new petrol car sales by 2035, nudging us towards electric vehicles. However, petrol itself will likely hang around for a while longer, lingering in pumps across Tradingpost and CarShowroom listings. Expect petrol availability to dwindle gradually as infrastructure pivots, but don’t bet on an immediate ban anytime soon.

So, while your trusty V8 might still sip petrol for the next decade or two, the writing’s on the wall: petrol’s days are numbered. Consult official government announcements for the latest shifts in policy.
