where are ldv utes made Page 5

LDV utes are built in China by SAIC Motor (sold here under the Maxus/LDV banner), then shipped to Australia as fully built imports. That’s why they punch above their price bracket—massive factory scale, not elves in a shed.

The T60 and T60 Max come out of SAIC’s Chinese plants, with Australian ADR tuning and local dealer prep once they land. Parts and support run through LDV’s Australian network, which has grown faster than a snag roll at Bunnings on a Saturday. If you’re browsing used examples, you’ll find plenty on Tradingpost. Short version: yes, China; long version: big, modern SAIC facilities—not some back-lane workshop.
