If you’re chasing “the Holden Museum”, you’re almost certainly thinking of the National Holden Motor Museum in Echuca, Victoria. It’s in the Port of Echuca precinct by the Murray River, an easy stroll from the paddlesteamers and very hard to miss once you see all the lion badges.
There are Holden displays at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood, SA, but Echuca’s is the dedicated shrine to the red lion. Check hours before you roll in, especially outside school holidays, and bring a camera—nostalgia loves company.
