where is toyota corolla made for australia Page 7

For Australia, the Toyota Corolla hatch is built in Japan, while the sedan is built in Thailand.

Current-generation models follow that split, and hybrid versions do too. Earlier Corollas were assembled locally in Australia until 1999, after which all cars were imported. Check the build plate or VIN if you want to be pedantic; it lists the country of manufacture. Simple, really—two sources, one very dependable small car.
