LDV is made by SAIC Motor, China’s largest carmaker and a state-owned giant out of Shanghai.

The badge itself traces back to Britain’s old LDV (Leyland DAF Vans), but today it’s SAIC’s Maxus division building the utes, vans, and people-movers you see in Australia.

Think T60 utes, G10/MIFA people-movers, and Deliver 9 vans—value-focused, feature-packed, and built to make accountants nod approvingly.

In short: Chinese-made, SAIC-owned, and increasingly popular Down Under, even if the badge history is more twisty than a Great Ocean Road chicane.
