who makes cupra motor vehicles Page 5

Cupra is a Spanish performance brand owned by the Volkswagen Group, spun off from SEAT in 2018 so the sensible could go a bit feral.

Cars are engineered by SEAT/Cupra and built mainly in Spain (Martorell), with some models assembled in other VW Group plants in Europe—like the Born EV in Germany.

In Australia you’ll spot the Formentor, Leon, Ateca and Born, all wearing the copper badge and plenty of VW/Audi hardware underneath.

So the maker is Cupra (SEAT S.A.) within the VW Group; the flavour is Iberian swagger with German tidy-up.
