write off check qld Page 71

Want to check if a car’s a write‑off in QLD? Run a PPSR search with the VIN; for a few dollars it queries the national NEVDIS database and flags written‑off, stolen, or finance owing in one hit.

Queensland TMR maintains the Written‑Off Vehicle Register, and any repairable write‑off must pass a WOVI inspection before it can be registered again. Use TMR’s rego check to confirm current registration, but it won’t show write‑off history—that’s what the PPSR certificate is for. If a seller can’t hand you a fresh PPSR and matching VIN, walk away and find something better on Tradingpost.
