xc40 recharge review australia Page 2

The Volvo XC40 Recharge is Volvo's cheeky electric SUV contender, flexing a 300 kW electric motor and a 78 kWh battery pack that promises around 418 km of range under ideal conditions. In Australia, it’s priced from about $75,000 AUD new, with used models showing up on CarShowroom and Tradingpost for a bit less if you're lucky. The interior is Scandinavian minimalism at its finest, with a Google-powered infotainment system that’s both smart and sometimes infuriatingly slow. Charging is decent but not groundbreaking; expect around 40 minutes to 80% at a fast charger.

Practical for urban adventures, it feels quick and poised, but the rear seats might cramp taller passengers. Plus points for safety tech, but beware the premium price tag and the usual electric vehicle caveats in Australia’s patchy charging network. For the full specs and quirks, definitely check official Volvo Australia documentation.
