y62 android auto Page 368

Short answer: the Nissan Patrol Y62 sold in Australia does not have factory Android Auto, no matter the trim or year, right up to the final Y62s.

You can add it via reputable retrofit interface kits that piggyback the factory screen (usually wired, some wireless), or by swapping the head unit; steering‑wheel controls and the reverse camera can usually be retained.

Expect parts to land around AUD 500–1,500 for an interface kit or AUD 1,200–3,000+ for a full head‑unit upgrade, plus installation.

If you tour, tow, or simply can’t stand the prehistoric maps, the upgrade is worth it—just use an installer who actually knows Patrol electrics and confirm warranty implications.

Hunt parts and installers via Tradingpost or ServiceCentral if you’d like to keep the budget from wandering off like a camel in the Simpson.
