2013 honda crv problems Page 3

The 2013 Honda CR‑V is generally tough as nails, but a few gremlins do show up as the kilometres pile on. Owners often report an annoying vibration at idle, especially with the A/C on—usually calmed by engine mount attention or an ECU update. Door lock actuators are another frequent diva, failing in clusters like they’ve unionised. AWD cars can also develop a tight‑turn shudder if the rear diff fluid is overdue.

• Vibration at idle (mounts/ECU calibration)
• Door lock actuator failures
• Rear diff fluid causing judder on lock (AWD)
• Occasional A/C and interior trim rattles
• Takata airbag recalls—always check VIN history

Budget for fresh fluids and a pre‑purchase inspection, and you’ll likely have a sensible, drama‑lite SUV. If anything feels off on a test drive, it shouldn’t—walk away or negotiate like a champion.
