cheap electric Page 2

Ah, the quest for a bargain-basement electric vehicle—because saving the planet shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg, right? In Australia, "cheap" electric cars usually start around $40,000 AUD for new models like the MG ZS EV or the Nissan Leaf. Used options can dip below $30,000 AUD, especially older Leafs or second-hand Hyundai Ioniqs. Expect modest ranges of 150-300 km on a single charge, depending on the model and battery size. Charging infrastructure is growing, but plan your route carefully unless you want to get cosy with roadside kangaroos. For listings, try CarShowroom or Tradingpost to sniff out the best deals.
