Early 1962, Honda stunned the racing world by displaying its first 50cc-class works machine, the now famous RC110. Shortly after in the same year they produced a customer-spec alternative named the CR110 Cub Racing, and as a direct result of Honda’s success from these two models they commenced domestic sales in June 1962.

The single-cylinder CR110 featured a high-tech gear-driven camshaft, DOHC, and four valves. This amazing little motorcycle had a 10:3.1 compression ratio and would rev to 13,500 rpm. It also employed a dry clutch and eight-speed gearbox.

Ensuring faithful homage the Dream 50 Racer has the 1960s style of short racing handlebars and elongated low-profile fuel tank. The frame is period diamond design with reinforced single front down tube bolting to the engine’s crankcase. The top of the frame uses a reinforced double-tube configuration which connects to a multi-tube box under the rider.

Front and rear disc brakes provide incredible stopping performance for such a small displacement motorcycle. The engine is unique, designed & build specifically for the Dream 50, using a 50cc four valve with double overhead camshafts.

The Dream 50R is completely road legal while retaining a faithful tribute to those magnificent 60’s bikes which put Honda on the map and firmly into history. This JDM model has become an instant collectible and are extremely hard to find today. This example is in fabulous condition with only 5,500k’s and located in Australia. The owner was going to build this bike into a CR110 replica and purchased a complete spare motor for this purpose. The motor and an assortment of OEM parts, oil filters, indictors etc, are included with the sale.
