One of the oldest Ital marques remaining in operation today, Aprilia had found modest success from racing their many small capacity bikes and scooters in early times, but in the 90’s the tiny Noale based manufacturer entered one of the hardest fought categories, the 250cc World Grand Prix Championship. Riding their RSW250, Max Biaggi secured back-to-back-to-back world titles in ’94, ’95, and ’96, after which the name Aprilia was no longer associated with trivial scooters and mopeds. As Ducati had done two decades earlier, Aprilia produced a road-going race replica aptly named the RSV250.

Commencing in 1994 and using Suzuki’s RGV engine, by 2003 it evolved into something truly incredible, about as close as public could get to a full-on GP racer with lights. Using the marques own engine it delivered a power to weight advantage that embarrassed the worlds fastest supercars! Weighing just 140kg the RS had a top speed of 210kph but its strength was the chassis and handling; it was peerless up any mountain or set of twisties.

The model offered here had two previous owners and is locally delivered.  Save for carbon stingers, the bike remains in perfect original condition and has the original pillion pegs, brackets and original stingers are included with the sale.
