Chasing the solar eclipse in 2023 from Queensland? On 20 April 2023, Queensland saw a partial solar eclipse—not totality—with the Sun nibbled by the Moon, coverage varying by location (larger in the northwest, smaller in the southeast).

Use proper ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses or a pinhole projector; sunglasses are about as useful as a tea towel for a parachute.

If you missed it, there are more on the way in coming years, so keep an eye on reputable astronomy forecasts and your calendar—safely.
