A US power plug looks like two flat parallel blades; that’s the Type A classic.

Many also have a third round (or U‑shaped) earth pin underneath—hello Type B.

The blades are often different widths so they only go in one way, because 120 V at 60 Hz prefers its manners.

It’s smaller than our Aussie V‑shaped jobbies, and absolutely not a direct fit here.

Use an adapter—and for anything more than travel chargers, a step‑down transformer—unless you enjoy the smell of cooked electronics.
